Za nami so posezonska testiranja Pirellijevih pnevmatik za sezono 2019, ki jih je z najhitrejšim časom sklenil novi dirkač Ferrarija Charles Leclerc.
Monačan je bil za slabe štiri desetinke sekunde hitrejši od svojega moštvenega kolega Sebastiana Vettla, tretji čas testiranj pa je postavil Valtteri Bottas v Mercedesu.
Testiranja na stezi Yas Marina so bila za številne dirkače priložnost, da se spoznajo s svojimi novimi ekipami. Po 17. letih se je k Sauberju vrnil Kimi Raikkonen, v bolidu Force India pa je debitiral Lance Stroll.
